Welcome to my first blog post! I’m glad that you can join me on this journey through university (and hopefully beyond) where I can share my experiences, thoughts and reflections.

Throughout my grade 12 year, I stumbled on a few blogs written by other Waterloo students after searching to find more information on programs, university experiences, and suggestions among other topics. It was refreshing to read from a student’s perspective, and something I appreciated during those times of stress and uncertainty. If I ever do write about some of that, hopefully it will help another student in the future :)

The Future

Speaking of the future, a lot is uncertain. For one, I am still figuring out this blog (work in progress!). Another (more important?) thing is that Fall 2020 will be entirely online because of the COVID-19 pandemic. With lectures, clubs, and activities like Orientation Week all online, the first-year experience (at least for 1A) will be different than what one would typically expect.

Even so, there is a lot to look forward to in the upcoming years. Here’s to that! (they don’t have a better “cheers” emoji)
